What a fantastic evening at Portsmouth Guildhall with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performing some of the greatest film music ever written by Hans Zimmer and John Williams.
The orchestra opened the first set with the iconic themes from Star Wars and Harry Potter, instantly setting the tone for a magical evening. Across two superb sets they took the audience on a journey through some of cinema’s most memorable soundtracks, before bringing the night to a spectacular close with music from Hook.
The Guildhall Square was packed with people enjoying the warm summer evening. The live music was made even more special with bursts of pyro and showers of ticket tape, creating a real concert atmosphere. It was also great to bump into a few familiar faces and share such a memorable night together.
A huge credit to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Their talent, precision and passion shone through from start to finish. It was an unforgettable performance and a brilliant way to spend a summer evening in Portsmouth.
