China Lake were back at the golden lion. for another cracking evening of live music, this time with an earlier start.
The gig was brought forward to 7.30pm as The Lion continues to trial earlier evening gigs. After trying them through the summer, they certainly seem to be proving popular, giving people the chance to enjoy a full evening of live music without it turning into a particularly late night.
The earlier start did mean China Lake had to do a little bit of last minute squad management. They managed to get a strong line up of guitarists together, then at half time made a tactical substitution and brought on fresh legs for the second half. Clearly band are taking the transfer window very seriously.
Back indoors, the pub was full of atmosphere with a great crowd enjoying the music and getting behind the band.
China Lake certainly did not disappoint. Another really enjoyable night at The Goldie and a great reminder of just how good live music feels in a packed local pub.
Everyone is already looking forward to seeing China Lake back at The Golden Lion again next year.
